Huasun Energy partners with Malaysia's ITRAMAS for 1.5 GW solar projects, advancing the country's energy transition goals with high-efficiency HJT technology.
At the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM) 2024, Huasun Energy and Malaysia's largest solar power developer, ITRAMAS Corporation Sdn. Bhd., announced a partnership to develop 1.5 GW photovoltaic projects. Witnessed by YB Tuan Mohd Rafizi Bin Ramli, Malaysia’s Minister of Economic Affairs, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signaling a major step forward in advancing solar energy in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
High-Efficiency HJT Modules to Power Malaysia's Solar Growth
Starting in 2025, Huasun will supply 700W+ high-efficiency heterojunction (HJT) modules for ITRAMAS' large-scale solar projects. With its position as the world’s largest HJT manufacturer, Huasun’s technology will strengthen Malaysia’s solar infrastructure and align with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), which targets 70% renewable energy by 2050, with solar energy contributing 58%.
Supporting Malaysia's Energy Transition with Global Expertise
ITRAMAS, with over 200 MW of operational solar projects and 1.5 GW in development, is at the forefront of Malaysia’s green energy transition. Together with Huasun, these companies will work to bring advanced solar technologies to Malaysia, contributing to the country’s ambitious net-zero emissions target by 2050.
