Kirloskar Solar and Oriana Power have won NVVN contracts for 66 MW solar projects across India. The projects, valued at over ₹2.9 billion, include ground-mounted and rooftop installations, contributing to India’s renewable energy mission.
Kirloskar Solar Technologies and Oriana Power have bagged prestigious contracts from NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) to develop solar power projects with a combined capacity of 66 MW. The contracts are part of NVVN's ambitious renewable energy drive, reflecting India's commitment to transitioning to a sustainable energy future.
Kirloskar Solar to Execute Solar Projects Across Six States
Kirloskar Solar Technologies will spearhead the development of seven solar projects, comprising 32.29 MW of ground-mounted systems and 14.74 MW of rooftop solar installations. The projects span six states: Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, and Assam, with a total contract value of ₹2.08 billion.
Oriana Power Takes Charge in Eastern India
Oriana Power will develop solar projects in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, including 10.61 MW of ground-mounted systems and 8.65 MW of rooftop installations. These contracts are valued at ₹835.69 million, showcasing Oriana’s growing expertise in renewable energy solutions.
Timelines and Commitments for Completion
Both companies are bound by strict timelines. Ground-mounted solar systems are to be commissioned within eight months of the work order issuance, while rooftop systems must be completed within six months. Following completion, both Kirloskar Solar and Oriana Power will oversee the operations and maintenance of these projects for three years.
Ensuring Quality Through Approved Solar Modules
A key requirement for the projects is the use of solar modules listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). This ensures that the projects meet high-quality standards and deliver efficient performance.
Oriana Power’s Growing Portfolio
Oriana Power continues to make significant strides in India’s solar energy market. Recently, the company secured a ₹5.2 billion EPC contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation for a 52 MW ground-mounted solar project in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, further cementing its position as a leader in renewable energy.
