On January 17, Masdar, the United Arab Emirates' clean energy giant, and CATL, a global leader in battery technologies, unveiled a groundbreaking partnership to deliver the world's first large-scale, round-the-clock giga-scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) project.
Project Highlights
Investment: Over $6 billion.
Solar Capacity: 5.2 GW, making it one of the largest solar projects globally.
Energy Storage: 19 GWh of advanced battery storage.
Continuous Baseload Power: 1 GW of renewable energy, 24/7 operation.
