KEZAD Solar Power Plant

Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD Group) and UAE-based Abundance Solar Panels Industries have announced plans for a new AED 55 million solar power plant in KEZAD Area A – Al Ma'mourah. This new facility will manufacture sola r panels and integrated photovoltaic modules, serving businesses across various industries looking to transition to energy-efficient systems.

A Major Step in Solar Manufacturing

The new plant, spanning over 27,000 square meters, is set to leverage the latest innovations in solar panel technology. The facility aims to support a range of industries as they shift towards more sustainable and energy-efficient practices, providing the tools needed to build environmentally friendly energy systems.

Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of KEZAD Group, commented on the initiative: “We welcome the establishment of Abundance’s solar panel plant. The project aligns with our leadership’s vision for innovation in sustainable economic development as well as KEZAD Group’s goals of driving industrial development responsibly and sustainably in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.”

Investment in Sustainability

The AED 55 million investment will not only enhance solar panel production but also operate within a sustainable framework. This project is part of KEZAD's broader strategy to promote responsible industrial development and align with the UAE’s goals for sustainability and innovation.

Sunil Madhok, Founder of Abundance Solar Panels Industries, explained the motivation behind the project: "Encouraged by the vision of UAE’s leadership to drive innovation and excellence in sustainable manufacturing, we are setting up a fully automatic plant for solar panels manufacturing to offer our humble contribution to Abu Dhabi's green future."

Contributing to Renewable Energy Goals

Solar panels play a crucial role in generating renewable energy by converting sunlight into electricity, thus reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. By establishing this advanced manufacturing facility, KEZAD and Abundance Solar Panels Industries aim to bolster Abu Dhabi's capacity to produce solar technology locally and contribute to the region's renewable energy objectives.

As the demand for clean energy solutions continues to grow, this new plant will support industries that prioritize sustainability and seek to reduce their carbon footprints. The plant's production of high-quality solar panels and integrated PV modules will provide essential resources for businesses aiming to adopt more sustainable energy systems.
