Oman's leading solar PV and renewable energy firm, Nafath Renewable Energy LLC, has announced a strategic partnership with FuelCell Energy Inc., a US-based leader in sustainable energy technologies, to drive innovation in green hydrogen production. The collaboration was revealed during the third edition of IEEE PowerTalks, under the patronage of Dr. Khamis bin Saif al Jabri, Head of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.
A Strategic Alliance to Boost Oman's Green Hydrogen Ambitions
This partnership marks a significant step in Oman’s journey toward becoming a key player in the green hydrogen space. Nafath Renewable Energy, known for its expertise in solar PV projects, and FuelCell Energy, renowned for its leadership in hydrogen production and clean energy generation, are set to enhance hydrogen production, storage, and utilization in Oman through sustainable and innovative solutions.

The agreement will harness the strengths of both companies. Nafath CEO Abdullah al Saidi highlighted the importance of the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with FuelCell Energy reinforces our shared vision of developing innovative and sustainable energy systems. Together, we aim to push the boundaries of green hydrogen production in Oman and beyond.”
Mathieu Lauga, Director of Business Development at FuelCell Energy, expressed similar enthusiasm, noting, “Our collaboration with Nafath will expand the impact of green hydrogen production in the Middle East, positioning Oman as a key player in the region’s green energy transformation.”
