SANY India has made significant strides in the renewable energy sector through its latest venture, SANY Wind Energy India. The company has recently secured major contracts totaling 1.6 GW in wind turbine capacity, including a 1,324 MW agreement with three subsidiaries of the JSW Group and an additional 300 MW contract with Sembcorp's Indian branch.

Delivering High-Efficiency Wind Turbines to Power India’s Green Transition

These partnerships will see SANY India deliver four MW wind turbines optimized for various environmental conditions. The innovative design and technology of these turbines highlight SANY’s commitment to meeting India’s renewable energy needs while advancing its own capabilities within the renewable sector. By harnessing robust technology tailored for India’s geographical diversity, SANY India showcases its expertise and dedication to supporting the nation’s growing clean energy segment.

Commitment to Local Manufacturing in Pune, Maharashtra

In a significant step toward promoting local manufacturing, SANY India will produce these high-performance turbines at its headquarters in Pune, Maharashtra. This aligns with the “Make in India” initiative and underscores SANY’s dedication to creating green energy solutions domestically. The collaboration with industry leaders JSW Group and Sembcorp demonstrates a collective drive toward lowering carbon emissions and meeting India’s ambitious renewable energy goals.

MNRE Certification for Cutting-Edge Wind Turbine Technology

In January 2024, SANY India’s four MW wind turbine model earned a place on the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) RLMM List. This approval signifies a key achievement for the company, enabling it to expand its offerings in India’s renewable energy market and highlighting the turbine’s compliance with stringent quality and performance standards established by the MNRE.

Through its collaborations and commitment to technological advancements, SANY India is actively supporting India’s vision for a sustainable future. The company’s contribution to the renewable energy sector signifies a broader commitment to clean energy that is essential to India’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
